C. The newly published handbook of primary sources relating to the ancient city of Tiberias. Roman, Byzantine, and Early Muslim Tiberias: A Handbook of Primary Sources includes the most updated information available about ancient Tiberias.

It contains a broad selection of written sources, including interpretations of coins, inscriptions from Tiberias, referring to the city, as well as updated plans, maps and artist’s reconstructions of the city during the Roman/ Byzantine era. Price: $20

D. "A very large village of Jews" is how the Church Father, Eusebius of Caesarea, defined En-Gedi in the early fourth century C.E. This definition was expressed in striking and tangible form in the excavations conducted there by Yizhar Hirschfeld. During seven seasons of excavations (1996-2002) streets, dwellings, shops, courtyards, storerooms, installations for processing agricultural products, water supply systems and more we exposed. The wealth of finds and the wide range of vessels uncovered during the excavations illuminate the daily life of En-Gedi's inhabitants in the Roman-Byzantine period.

The book which Prof. Hirschfeld did not live to see and enjoy, presents the principals of this excavation. Price: $100
